Abstract

Lesia Onyshko. Commemoration and memorialization of new Ukrainian heroes.

Annotation. The article surveys new ways of commemoration and memorialization devoted to the Heavenly Hundred – the fallen heroes, who were killed in Ukraine during protests of 2013-2014 (known as the Revolution of Dignity), and discusses the principle of memorializing them as a group of individuals with their own names and faces. The article also provides observation of the honoring projects promoted and founded by National Museum of the Revolution of Dignity in order to perpetuate the bravery of Ukrainian protestors, who gave their lives for a better future of Ukraine.
