Abstract. The article is devoted to the description of the activities of the «No Hate Speech Movement», launched in 2012 by the Council of Europe. No Hate Speech Movement aims to combat discrimination and hate speech in the Internet. It has become an international initiative, joined by 45 European countries, such as Mexico, Morocco, Tunisia and more. Since 2017, the movement has been working at national levels. In 2019, the network «No Hate Speech» was launched, it is based on the principles of the «No Hate Speech Movement». The main areas of work are public awareness, training of leaders of non-governmental organizations, campaigns to combat incitement to hatred on the Internet, educational activities, especially among young people, aimed at teaching the fight against hate speech, involving activists in preventing incitement to hatred, and supporting human rights education. to combat hate speech, implemented online and offline in the form of conferences, training and round tables etc. The subject of research is the functioning of the «No Hate Speech Movement». Thorough the study of the main directions of movement, we used the following methods: the method of analysis, generalization, descriptive and chronological methods. These methods were applied to compose a description of the movement, its characteristics and a general picture of the activity through the study of many aspects. Also, the methods were used to highlight the features of the research subject, and track its development in different periods of existence. By examining the goals of the movement and its campaigns, we understand that its members ensure the prevention of hate speech by providing people with an understanding of their actions and the consequences of online violence and discrimination.
